The second season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will begin on February 23. The first match of the tournament will be played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Ahead of the match, the BCCI is going to host a grand opening ceremony. Bollywood too will be a part of it. Actor Kartik Aaryan will perform at the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony will begin at 6:30 pm on February 23. Apart from Kartik Aaryan, many other Bollywood celebrities are expected to attend the event. Last time, stars like Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon performed at the opening ceremony. At the same time, singer AP Dhillon won the hearts of the fans with his songs.

The tournament will be played in two cities.

The second and third placed teams will play the Eliminator. There will be no double-header matches in the 24-day tournament. Every day will be the same match. The Eliminator will be played on March 15 and the final on March 17 in Delhi.
