Maidaan movie has been delayed for 5 years
“Maidaan” may have taken five long years to hit the screens – as if it took just as much effort to win on the real field. The release of the film, which was announced in 2018, had to be postponed several times. Its huge sets in Dahisar, which included locations like the Olympic ground and the running track, were spread over about 9 acres. There were 30-35 days of shooting left, but due to the lockdown and the pandemic, the remaining part could not be filmed for a long time. The film is produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Sengupta and Akash Chawla.

On the special occasion of Eid, “Maidaan” is coming to the theatres on 10th April 2024. The audience will get a chance to watch the film on IMAX screen. Ritesh Shah has written the dialogues for the film. The music is by AR Rahman and the lyrics are by Manoj Muntashir. Maidaan will clash at the box office with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
