After a successful stint on Bigg Boss 17, Ankita Lokhande is all set to star on the big screen with Swatantra Veer Savarkar. Ankita Lokhande plays the role of Savarkar’s wife Yamuna Bai. The actress is quite excited about her role and has said that she will choose similar roles in the future.
Ankita shared that she has chosen a career where she wants to be associated with good cinema. “I don’t want to be seen everywhere. I just want to be a part of something important. I want to do similar kind of roles. I like things like that. It also gives me confidence that I can do such challenging roles.”
Ankita further added, “I don’t want to be a part of the rat-cat race. I don’t want to go down that path. I have no problem with people who do that, but it’s not for me. Whatever it is, but I will choose the best of them for myself. I am very selective and choose my work wisely. I can make mistakes, but it will only be my decision.”

Talking about her career, Ankita said: “When I look back, I can’t believe it’s been 20 years. I wonder how I managed to do such a good job and get success. We also feel connected as a family. I feel like patting myself on the back and saying hello. I am getting a lot of love from the fans and I am very happy with that.”
